


Angelicka Crawford, MA.
Executive Director
Angelicka Crawford is the Founder and Executive Director of Jumping Dreams, a Charlotte-based nonprofit focused on advancing youth development and family wellness through community-driven programming. Originally from Connecticut, she has called Charlotte home for the past 15 years, where she serves as a nonprofit leader, coach, and youth advocate.
A former World Champion jump rope competitor with over eight years of coaching experience, Angelicka has led Jumping Dreams’ growth from an athletic program into a multi-faceted organization supporting physical health, mental wellness, and social-emotional development for youth in underserved communities. She holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management from Ashford University and serves as the North Carolina State Representative for the American Double Dutch League (ADDL). Angelicka is a certified ADDL Speed and Compulsory Judge and an AAU Speed Judge.

In her role as Executive Director, Angelicka oversees strategic planning, partnership development, and program implementation, collaborating with schools, community organizations, and local stakeholders to expand access to youth development programs and leadership opportunities for youth and families across Charlotte. Her work is grounded in the belief that sustainable community impact is achieved through strong partnerships, intentional programming, and consistent investment in young people.
Fun Facts: A former competitive cheerleader and marathon runner, Angelicka is also known for her enthusiasm for a well-planned Target run.

Dominique Artis, M.S.
Program Director
Dominique “Coach Dom” Artis serves as Program Manager and Competitive Team Lead at Jumping Dreams, where she oversees after-school program operations and leads the organization’s competitive jump rope team. In this role, she is responsible for program design, staff coordination, and the delivery of structured, high-quality programming that supports youth development and healthy lifestyle habits.

A former World Champion jump rope competitor, Coach Dom brings over eight years of coaching experience to Jumping Dreams. She holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Arizona State University and currently serves as a Speed Judge for the AAU Jump Rope League. Her academic training informs a data-informed, youth-centered approach to program management that emphasizes consistency, accountability, and positive outcomes.

As a full-time team member, Dominique plays a critical role in maintaining program excellence across both after-school and competitive settings. Her professional expertise includes team building, training, and supporting athlete development while reinforcing teamwork, focus, and discipline.

Kyla Jones, B.A
Coach (Volunteer)
Coach Kyla is a proud AGGIE! She graduated from North Carolina A&T State University with a bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. She currently works as a Traffic Operations Engineer, creating plans for traffic signals.
Born and raised in New York, Coach Kyla has always loved jumping double dutch. She is a second-year coach at Jumping Dreams. She has worked with children in various capacities over the past ten years. Coach Kyla hopes to continue inspiring and growing the next generation alongside Jumping Dreams.

Fun Fact: Coach Kyla also loves the arts. She is a former dancer, a poet, a spoken word artist, and a published author.
